Brooke Case woke up in the early hours of July 28 with labour pains. Tim and Brooke Case quickly made their way to the car and set out on their journey to John Hunter Hospital, but only got as far as Salt Ash. They stopped the car and they called for an ambulance. The Triple Zero call was answered by NSW Ambulance call taker Ellen Wetzler who guided Tim through the process of preparing his wife until paramedics arrived. Ellen guided Tim to prepare Brooke for delivery, instructing him to recline her seat, remove clothing and grab a towel or blanket to wrap the baby. Tim, Brooke and their healthy baby son Levi have today been reunited with Ellen and the paramedics.
