HOW time flies, it’s February already and Safety Beach Women’s Golf Club members are back in action albeit starting gently with a four Person Hart Ball comp.

Christmas and New Year are over, resolutions made and discarded except the one to practice our golf more often and enjoy each game.

Thirty one ladies presented on 1 February for the first game in the fixture book with deserving winners Karen Bellamy, Leanne Clark, Lex Bailey and Alicia Bailey taking the honours with 79/65.

Well done ladies, it was certainly challenging out there in the heat of the day.

Runners-up were Jan Weiley, Robyn Brindle and Kim Batty with 83/657/8.

Balls went to Carole Stone, Jo-Anne Elwood, Janelle Coleman, Gaile Mackenzie, Marian Brading, Lyn Reilly and Aileen McFarlane.

There will be more clinics held in the near future for beginners wishing to learn to play golf.

A 9 hole Wine Run is conducted every Friday afternoon followed by a tipple and giggle at the clubhouse.
