Robberies and alleged drug supply syndicate at Warren, Nyngan

Inquiries are continuing into armed robberies and an alleged drug supply syndicate in western NSW Yesterday (Thursday 15 January 2015), a 20-year-old woman was arrested at Warren in relation to an armed robbery at a local hotel on 28 September 2014.


She was taken to Warren Police Station and charged with robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, deal in the proceeds of crime and goods in custody. 

The 20-year-old woman was refused bail and was due to appear in Dubbo Local Court today (Friday 16 January 2015). There, she was granted bail and will reappear at the Cobar Local Court on 23 February, 2015.

Darling River Local Area Command Crime Manager Detective Inspector Scott Parker said inquiries into the armed robbery at the hotel and an unrelated robbery at a local service station were continuing. 

“Detectives attached to both strike forces are continuing their inquiries to identify and locate any additional parties who might have been involved or have knowledge of either robbery,” Detective Inspector Parker said. 

“We are also investigating a third robbery at a clothing store in Warren on 7 November 2014.

“There, a male with a syringe entered the store and threatened the attendant. He was given a sum of cash and was last seen leaving the store in Warren’s main street. “
