Dear News of the Area,

ILONNA Hudson last week (News Of The Area edition 6 September ‘Shame Local Business Not Involved’) referred to the “Build for a Cure” project in Medowie, lamenting that local businesses were not involved in the project to raise funds for research into childhood cancer.

The “Build” was organised by McDonald Jones, who used their regular sub-contractors for the project.

One of their employees knew that Kurri Kurri Rotary had catered for an earlier “Build” so they were asked to cater for the project; Kurri Kurri approached the Rotary Clubs of Williamtown, Raymond Terrace and East Maitland for help, and that was gladly given.

I am the President of the Rotary Club of Williamtown.
