Recorded in front of a live audience in the Chippo Hotel in Chippendale in Sydney, the trio’s stand-up set was available online for eight scheduled shows over six days, with patrons booking through the Fringe Festival site and being asked to pay what they thought it was worth, either when booking or after watching the show.

The set bounces between a comic-con style roundtable and individual stand up from each of the comics, with Krutika, Kel and Annie presenting their takes on 21st century life; including Boomer parents who refuse to die, leaving a life of luxury in Mumbai for the squalor of Sydney and dating in a town where the most common question is ‘Are you my cousin?’

Displaying vastly different styles, each performer engaged with the audience and had great reactions to their stories.

Annie’s deadpan delivery and clever use of pauses and one-line answers conveyed the sparseness of her experience of growing up in a very small country town and had the audience chuckling along nicely.

Krutika’s energy crackles through her routine as she describes the contrasts between her privileged upbringing and her current life of travel and comedy.

Kel’s dry style of wit and her willingness to poke fun at everything, including marriage and body parts that aren’t normally discussed, had the audience captivated, and Coffs Coast locals would have enjoyed the brief cross to Kelly’s husband Greg in the audience looking slightly uncomfortable as she explained why your husband can never be your best friend.

Overall, it was a half hour of sometimes risqué but always engaging and entertaining original comedy.

The trio are going on to be part of the Adelaide Fringe festival next year.
