Residents of Williamtown suffer with Defence Debacle

After being ejected from Parliament, Federal Member for Paterson has called on the Turnbull Government to sort out its Defence ministerial debacle for the sake of the people of Williamtown.

“I have previously described Defence’s response to Williamtown as “glacial” and now I know why.
There are three Ministers with Defence portfolios, but it is still not clear which Minister is responsible for what,” Ms Swanson said.

“They are so disorganised they can’t even sort out their own ministerial responsibilities, let alone the mess at Williamtown.”

“My letters to Marise Payne go unanswered, and Christopher Pyne didn’t bother to meet with residents when he came to Williamtown,” Ms Swanson said.

“No wonder we are getting nowhere with finding solutions for the people of Williamtown. It would appear no one in the Turnbull Ministry wants to take on this responsibility.”

“It’s not good enough. Defence made this mess and Defence has to clean it up.”
