Coffs Harbour City Council’s 6 Degrees team has partnered with the local Chambers of Commerce, Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, and Woolgoolga and the Northern Beaches, to curate and provide a selection of valuable and practical workshops and talks for Coffs Coast small business owners and community organisations.

The Coffs Coast Small Business Festival Bringing will bring together 14 experts delivering 16 sessions over four days.

It is a free hybrid event, with sessions delivered both in-person (limited) and online to ensure as many locals as possible are able to attend.

Topics ranging from staff wellbeing and customer acquisition, to cash flow and video marketing will be covered.

The program reflects the ‘burning issues’ identified in a recent poll of local businesses.

This year, both councils and local business chambers were able to apply for NSW Government grants to host events, with up to $640,000 in funding available for COVID-Safe activities and events.

Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said, “The program this year is designed to help businesses overcome the challenges of drought, bushfires, floods and COVID-19.”

“While the majority of the activities and events will be online this year, the range remains innovative and diverse, with topics including how to leverage social media and how to get your brand online.”

Minister for Finance and Small Business Damien Tudehope said NSW Small Business Month was designed for small and medium business owners looking to upskill and learn from other businesses.

“Festival themes for 2020 include how to manage disruption, future planning, getting your business online, as well as learning all the latest marketing and social media tips,” Mr Tudehope said.
