Red Cross recruiting volunteers for Emergency Services Team

HAVE you ever considered becoming an Emergency Services Volunteer?

If your answer to that question is yes, then you are in luck.

Join the local Australian Red Cross team at an information session at 10am on Thursday June 3 at the Nambucca RSL Club, to learn how you can get involved.

“Red Cross volunteers from this region have been deployed to many disaster areas during the past couple of years,” said Trish Mill, Team Leader, Coffs Harbour Emergency Services Team.

“We assist at evacuation centres, recovery centres and carry out outreach to assist communities after the disaster.

“After the recent floods on the North Coast our volunteers were stretched to the limit so the Red Cross is recruiting new team members for the Woolgoolga, Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca areas.”

There is a wide range of roles that assist before, during and after a disaster in preparedness, during the event and the ongoing recovery.

There will be some local volunteer team members in attendance at the session to answer any questions about firsthand experiences that they have had.

Join the information session to see how you can help and become part of the Red Cross Emergency Services Volunteer team in the Nambucca Valley.
