REGIONAL Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC) has released tickets for its fourth IGNITE Symposium, this year to be held online.

The Symposium will examine issues such as housing, the circular economy (for example, recycling, waste management and local supply chains) and business preparedness, which are all particularly relevant to the Coffs Coast.

RDAMNC CEO Kerry Grace said, “The first IGNITE conference, held in 2017, had the aim of inspiring new thinking and fostering a culture of innovation on the Mid North Coast.”

TV personality and host Todd Sampson was the first guest speaker at Bowraville (2017) and symposiums have since been held in Bellingen and Kempsey, before the advent of COVID-19.

IGNITE aims to connect community, business and government leaders who live and/or work in the Mid North Coast of NSW to come together, collaborate, and innovate.

The event also showcases local communities, and even though this year’s event is virtual, it will highlight Wingham.

The live components of the event will run over a week, offering ticket holders the opportunity to attend live sessions or replay sessions at a later time.

Activities include live and on-demand presentations, panel discussions, speed networking sessions, round table discussions and much more in the interactive IGNITE event portal.

Ms Grace said, “One of the most important parts of conferencing is the networking and, even though we are going online, we are making great efforts to make sure this still happens.”

The 2021 IGNITE MNC theme is ‘Rethink, Reimagine and Renew’ and begins on Wednesday 3 November, 2021.

Ms Grace said that sponsors, exhibitors and attendees will benefit from a vast range of online tools available through the event portal to help everyone keep connected, even in times they cannot physically meet.

“The issues discussed at IGNITE MNC impact all of our communities and it is important we keep these conversations top of mind.”

The symposium conversations will help inform the Mid North Coast Regional Plan and also RDAMNC’s plans for the remainder of the financial year.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 20 September.
