Raymond Terrace Public School was selected for this prestigious list due to their computational approach to whole-school learning models, through the intensive training opportunities provided to their teachers, whose students then benefit from these learning and training experiences. With an inquiry-based learning approach, students are encouraged to learn through new and exciting pathways of discovery and problem solving. Raymond Terrace Public School teacher Bernadette Van De Wijgaart told News Of The Area, “We received this award for our excellence in 21st Century Learning.” “Our students from Kindergarten to Year six are accessing the curriculum in inventive ways, using Spheros, Ozobots, Lego EV3 Riley Rovers, Beebots, Dot and Dash, coding programs like Scratch, Tynker and so on.” “We recently completed MoonHack 2017 and became part of a world record code breaking group.
