Over the years Rainbow Bricks has raised funds for a range of schools, not for profits and charities in the region through their displays.

This year the recipients of the funds raised at the event will go to the Tomaree Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

Cheryl Miller of the Ladies Auxiliary told News Of The Area, “We are working towards raising $50,000 in funds to buy a monitor which will show all patient information for the emergency department.

“They are also hoping to buy monitors for individual patients which will cost around $5000 each.”

The ladies were manning the door and selling raffle tickets and can also be found around the shopping centre at Salamander Bay.

The event is delivered by Rainbow Bricks’ Angela and Kevin, who are residents in Port Stephens.

Many of the exhibitors are avid Lego builders who give up their time to display their creations.

Zachary Portelli aged three enthusiastically said that his favourite creation was the big blue truck.

There were trains, ferris wheels, remote control cars and lots of interactive stations for children to explore.
