Rachael is now well known throughout the Port Stephens community. Ms Vaughan said, “The best part about reporting has been the extra connections I made in the community.” “The paper has helped me to connect to so many more community groups and residents,” Rachael said. When asked what her favourite story was she said, “I do have a soft spot for the stories of our young people doing great things.” “They are the future of Port Stephens, and our future is looking bright with all the wonderful things I’ve been able to report on that involve them.” Rachael has accepted a position working behind the scenes in Kate Washington MP’s office. Ms Vaughan said she will assist Kate with all the work that she does within the community and in State Parliament. Rachael wishes to Thank the community for their stories and sharing some really special moments with her.
