Pub Run a big hit

The Coffs Trail Runners launched their weekly 5.5km social run from King Tide Brewery on Thursday 13 April and enjoyed a well earnt beer post-run.

BEER and running.

Some say it’s an unlikely combination but the Coffs Trail Runners are showing it’s a big hit.

The Coffs Trail Runners launched their weekly 5.5km social run from King Tide Brewery on Thursday 13 April and enjoyed a well earnt beer post-run.

The new social run takes place on Thursday evenings from 5:20pm, leaving from outside the Brewery and runs around the picturesque Coffs Creek.

Social run organiser Keelan Birch said it’s a friendly atmosphere and the reward of the beer that makes it so popular.

“We were looking for a great spot to host a weekly social run and King Tide Brewery immediately stood out being in the middle of Coffs Harbour.

“We have designed the run to be relaxed, on flat terrain and with a friendly social atmosphere.

“In our inaugural run we had 40 people show up with many first timers.

“You don’t have to be a serious runner to join.

“It’s a great way to meet active like minded people and enjoy a beer afterwards.

“We are also grateful to King Tide Brewery who support the run and offer anyone who joins in 50 percent of a beer.”
