Fran is a very experienced and enthusiastic member of the Probus family, having been involved in the formation of two clubs in Sydney and serving in many positions. Fran will work with Probus South Pacific Ltd and the Rotary District Probus Chairman, Ray Davies at the local level, to identify and develop strategies to enhance opportunities to grow and strengthen the Probus membership base within the community. Fran Wathen, Probus Ambassador told News Of The Area, “Probus is about getting out there and participating.” She believes that the Port Stephens Probus Club’s activities like fishing, caravanning, walking groups and social bowls connect people with their community. “Probus is for everyone, singles or couples that are semi retired or retired and want to engage with others in fun fellowship and friendships,” she said.
