THE sun has been shining and members of the Fingal Bay Probus Club have made the most of it with enjoyable gatherings.

The purpose of the Probus Club is to enjoy the fun and friendship that come with joining up with fellow retirees who have much to offer.

Julia Redlich told News Of The Area, “There has been a barbecue beachside at Corlette, a four-day away trip to Port Macquarie that included a sea voyage, not a trans-Tasman one of course, but we found that the Hastings River leads to wonderful watery places!

“Then there was walking for pleasure time, a great start to any day, this time to Shoal Bay and the Tomaree Headland, followed by a necessary reviving coffee at La Dolce Vita and finally more welcoming Italian warmth with an evening of wining and dining at Siennas, Nelson Bay,” said Julia.

Members of the Probus Club are finding that their diaries are already filling up with more entertaining and enjoyable events.

The Fingal Bay Probus Club meets at 9.30am on the second Monday of each month at the Fingal Bay Sports and Recreation Club, 100 Rocky Point Road, Fingal Bay.

New members and visitors are welcome to learn about the club and its activities such as coffee mornings and wine appreciation as well as those described here.
