In the last month they have enjoyed activities including croquet, a BBQ, dining out, walks, social bowls, a great tour of Fisheries with a picnic lunch, and a movie night as well as their monthly meeting.

This list of activities provides members with the option to join in around two activities each week.

Each month, a small group of keen bowlers compete in the Probus Inter Club Bowls.

They travel all over the district to join other Probus members for a friendly but serious bowls competition.

Ann Gibson President of The Probus Club of Port Stephens told News Of The Area, “Captain George Hammond rounds up a couple of teams for each match, they win some and lose some, but always enjoy the day in the Probus spirit of fellowship, friendship and fun.

“Their participation is always appreciated by their home club who look forward to George’s spirited report of the event at the monthly meetings,” she said.

The members of this club support all the activities with enthusiasm and would welcome anyone wishing to check out the possibility of joining Probus Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month, 9.30am at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.
