For many members it was their first Probus meeting in many months having been on a phone contact list to help keep them connected when unable to participate in the few activities which were allowable with reduced numbers. After the meeting many members made their way to nearby Saltwater restaurant where they could enjoy the sunlit view of Fingal Bay as well as excellent choices from the menu. “The fun and friendship that is the hallmark of Probus Club members was in full flight,” said Julia. One elderly member with limited mobility said, “Probus is wonderful, I have had a regular call from members to help keep me cheery during the lockdown, I even got a special birthday call!” “I enjoyed getting to the meeting, another member who lives nearby picked me up and took me to the meeting, it was so nice to see everyone again,” she said. The December meeting will see a celebration of epic proportions for 2020 as members gather at the club to share in the festive spirit.
