Port Stephens Women in Business meets around once a month and the gatherings offer everything from a social catch up to informative business workshops and networking.

The Group aims to empower women within Port Stephens and to reduce the isolation for women in business, be it a micro business, small enterprise or as a member of a large business.

The Port Stephens Women In Business had a special lunch recently when the NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklia was in attendance.

Some 30 plus Women in Business Members gathered to meet with the Premier and to share their stories.

Also in attendance were Port Stephens Woman of the Year and Tomaree Business Chamber President Leah Anderson and Port Stephens Deputy Mayor Sarah Smith.

The Premier briefly addressed the group. She congratulated the network of women stating that younger people are looking up to Port Stephens Women in Business for their courage, empowerment and for the members who have stepped up and are doing their own thing.

Emily Perry, President of Port Stephens Women in Business, told News Of The Area, “Membership for the Port Stephens Women in Business group is open, the only requirement is that you need to be local and in business.”
