SPARTAN is a gruelling test of fitness and resolve.

Recently a SPARTAN event was held in Port Stephens bringing contenders to try their metal and see if they have what it takes to be a warrior.

The event was a success.

It was the first SPARTAN Race in Port Stephens and the feedback from the Spartan community has been fantastic.

Chris Heverin, Managing Director at Spartan Race Australia & NZ, told News Of The Area, “Across the weekend we had more than 4000 participants and it was a much loved event by the Spartan community.

“It was our first official post-Covid event and our first ever Spartan Race in Port Stephens, and the feedback we have received on the course and the Port Stephens region has been fantastic.

“The course was challenging, but fun and the festival area was full of character.

“I’d like to thank our racers, the Port Stephens Council and all our event partners for playing their part in making the event a success.”

There were a series of events held at different lengths and even a kids challenge.

There are plenty of people hoping to see SPARTAN back in Port Stephens again.
