FORTY eight members of the Port Stephens Friendship Group piled onto a coach at the depot of Port Stephens Coaches and 2 hours later, we disembarked in Taree.

Then, onto a purpose built, twin hulled boat with the quietest two outboards I have ever encountered.

We motored down the main stream, North Passage, and as we went along we were served Fresh Scones with Tea and Coffee.

I must comment on the commentary. It was very well presented, well articulated, controlled and not overbearing, but informative.

We motored right down to the beach at Old Bar before going up one of the other branches of the river (The South Passage).

All this time, the team of two were cooking our Baked Roast Lunch.

After the 4 hour cruise we arrived back at Taree, to be home at 5 p.m.
