Photo: Supplied. THE Port Stephens District Bodyboarders held their final round for 2020 in some magic conditions at Morna on Sunday to crown their club champions. There was a clean 2ft of swell pulsing in from the South and when the winds favoured from the North there were plenty of crystal portals on offer for competitors to rack up scores. There was even a special appearance by former world tour competitor Dallas Singer who grew up in Port Stephens and cut his teeth on the numerous beach breaks and reefs on offer. With all results kept under lock and key for the presentation in December, PSDB President Chad Pisani said it was a tightly contested race to the top for each division. “The results from this round will be kept secret until our end of year presentation which is to be announced in the coming days,” said Chad. “It’s going to be really close across all our divisions with all competitors really pushing themselves!” In Opens the finalists in no particular order were Dallas Singer, Nathan Price, Kane Brewer, and Hayden Pisani. In Drop Knee with no placing revealed yet were Sam Loveridge, Ben Coleman and Scott Kitchen. In Masters Wade Boeree, Chad Pisani, Jeremy Harris, and Aaron Burke all made the final. Juniors saw Jacob Plumber, Yianni Paradisis, Tye George, Patrick O’Malley and Tyler Sarmias in contention at the presentation. Grand Masters final contenders were Paul Mace, Hudson Daley, Jeremy Harris, Darrell Apps, and Russell Sheehy. Cadets concluded with Tye George, Christian Sheehy, Tyler Sarmias, and Jacob Plumber in the fight. While groms saw Toby McGuiggan, Christian Sheehy, and Kai Atkinsan in the running.
