The exhibition is a series of work from several artists diverging from the black and white theme by just a touch.

Small splashes of colour make these works high impact.

The artists have explored a monochrome palette using shades and tones of black highlighted with a hint of colours.

Also on display is the Patchwork group’s Paint Pot project featured in the gallery annex, a colourful complement to the main exhibit.

Meryl Miller of the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre told News Of The Area, “Our membership is made up of over 400 active artisans who  participate in workshops and a variety of sessions at the centre.”

“It is wonderful to extend ourselves in genres and styles which give us new skills.”

“This exhibition is one which we are very proud of as it is quite different from our usual style of exhibition,” she said.

The Port Stephens Community Arts Centre is a not-for-profit organisation and entry is free.

The centre’s membership welcomes visitors to browse through the gallery and enjoy the Garden Café which is open 10-2:30 pm on weekends.

The gallery is located on Cultural Close, off Shoal Bay Road in Nelson Bay and is open to the public 10-4 pm daily.
