The choir was formed in 2010 and has evolved to perform a diverse array of sacred, secular and popular music. Port Harmony’s Musical Director is renowned soprano and teacher of voice, Kathryn Dries. Kathryn will sing the well-known song cycle ‘Sea Pictures’ by Edward Elgar at the concert. Port Harmony will perform Beethoven’s ‘Calm Seas & Prosperous Voyage’. The lighter second half of this sublime programme features Port Harmony, singing various well-known and loved songs, including sea shanties. Port Harmony will be joined by the charismatic and entertaining Michael Power as pianist. There will be numerous raffle prizes, including those kindly donated by local businesses, Nigronis Pizza & Wine Kitchen, Nelson Bay, and Imagine Cruises, Nelson Bay.
