Police On The Streets: Nambucca Valley Police News Nambucca Valley Nambucca Valley News by News Of The Area - Modern Media - March 3, 2022 – ON 18/2/22 at about 8:30pm Police arrested a 36-year-old man in Way Way following a violent family dispute in which a 68-year-old man and 68-year-old woman were assaulted. Both victims sustained serious injuries and were conveyed to Coffs Harbour Hospital for treatment. Damage was also sustained to the victim’s home and vehicle. The accused man was charged at Kempsey Police Station and bail refused to appear before a Justice at Port Macquarie Local Court on 19/2/22. The accused was subsequently granted bail by the Court to appear before Kempsey Local Court on 28/2/22. – On 20/2/22 at about 11:10am Police arrested a 46-year-old man at a Bowraville address for breaching an AVO. The accused man was charged at Macksville Police Station and refused bail to appear before Kempsey Local Court on 21/2/22. The accused man was convicted and fined $220 and sentenced with a 12 month Community Corrections Order. – On 18/2/22 about 11:07am Police were conducting stationary RBT on Giinagay Way, North Macksville when a vehicle that was directed to enter the site sped off and decamped into Bellevue Drive. The male passenger of the vehicle was wanted for four outstanding warrants and fled the vehicle and attempted to evade Police by jumping into the Nambucca River. The man swam across about half way before starting to struggle and come into difficulty. A passing fisherman in a small tinnie assisted by ferrying two officers out to the man who was able to be pulled into the boat and arrested. The fisherman then ferried the Officers and the accused onto the River St bank directly in front of the Macksville Police Station where Officers walked the accused into the station and the warrants were executed. 1. On 22/2/22 a Police charged a 68-year-old man at Nambucca Heads Police Station with Mid-Range PCA after he returned a breach analysis reading of 0.087. The accused man was issued a court attendance notice to appear before Macksville Local Court on 17/3/22. 2. On 23/2/22 Police charged a 39-year-old woman at Macksville Police Station with breach of bail, drug possession and a traffic offence following a traffic stop in Macksville. The accused woman was bail refused to appear before Macksville Local Court on 24/3/22.
