Police on the Streets: Nambucca Valley Police News Nambucca Valley by News Of The Area - Modern Media - September 30, 2022 ● A FORMER police officer has been charged with several offences, including assault, in the state’s north. Last year, officers commenced an investigation into allegations of an assault relating to a 38-year-old senior constable while he was on duty. Following inquiries, officers arrested a 38-year-old man shortly before 10am on 19/9/22. The man was charged with eight offences including ‘common assault’, ‘assault occasioning actual bodily harm’, ‘tamper with evidence with intent to mislead judicial tribunal’, ‘destroy or damage property’, and ‘do act intend to pervert the course of justice’. He was refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on 20/9/22 where he was subsequently granted bail by the Court to next appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on 11/10/22. The officer – who was attached to a Northern Region command at the time – is no longer with the NSW Police Force. ● On 17/9/22 Police arrested a 48-year-old man at a Nambucca Heads address following an altercation in which another man and a woman were assaulted. Both victims were conveyed to Macksville Hospital by Ambulance for treatment. The accused man was charged at Macksville Police Station and later released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on 20/10/22. ● On 18/9/22 Police arrested a 29-year-old woman at a Nambucca Heads address following a domestic violence incident in which a man was assaulted. The accused woman was charged at Macksville Police Station and later released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on 13/10/22. ● On 19/9/22 Police arrested a 33-year-old woman at a Newee Creek address following an altercation where a mobile phone was damaged. The accused woman was charged at Macksville Police Station and later released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on 10/11/22. ● On 20/9/22 Police arrested a fifteen-year-old female youth in Bowraville following investigations related to an intimidation offence. The young person was charged at Macksville Police Station and later released on bail to appear before Macksville Children’s Court on 6/10/22. ● On 22/9/22 Police arrested a 26-year-old man at Macksville Police Station following investigations related to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Nambucca Heads. The accused man was charged with: ‘Use carriage service to threaten serious harm’ and ‘Use carriage service to threaten to kill’ before being released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on 10/10/22. ● On 21/2/22 a nineteen-year-old man attended Macksville Police Station following investigations related to a motor vehicle accident that had occurred on Upper Warrell Creek Rd on 3/8/22. Blood test results indicated that the accused returned a Mid-Range PCA of 0.118. The accused man was charged with the offence and also issued a licence suspension. The accused was also charged with ‘Learner not accompanied’ and is to appear before Macksville Local Court on 17/11/22. ● On 18/9/22 emergency services were alerted to an accident on Greenhills Rd, Upper Taylors Arm where a 64-year-old man from Bermagui was critically injured. The motorcyclist is alleged to have collided with a cow and was ejected from his cycle. First aid was rendered by a number of locals prior to the arrival of emergency services. Unfortunately the man’s condition deteriorated rapidly on route within the Ambulance and he was pronounced deceased at Macksville Hospital.
