It identifies critical opportunities for police to strengthen and maintain cohesive partnerships with Aboriginal communities and key agencies. NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb APM said the NSW Police Force proudly welcomes the development of the Aboriginal Strategic Direction. “The ASD is a Tier 1 Priority for the NSW Police Force and I look forward to working with the communities across NSW in actioning the priorities of this document,” Commissioner Webb said. The four priorities of the ASD are Community Safety Communication and Understanding, Partnerships – Collaborate and Influence, Safety and Wellbeing of Aboriginal Young People, and Family Safety and Domestic Violence.
