Police investigate after man grabs woman’s pram in Sydney’s inner-west National News by NOTA - October 1, 2014 Police are investigating a report that a man grabbed onto a pram containing a toddler while the child’s mother was taking him for a walk along the ‘Bay Run’ in Sydney’s inner-west yesterday. Just before 10.30am, (Tuesday 30 September 2014), the woman was pushing her 14-month-old son in a pram along Timbrell Drive, Rodd Point, near the intersection of the City West Link. Officers have been told a man approached her and began tugging on the pram. She wrestled the pram off him and the man ran off after a bystander intervened. He was last seen heading towards the City West Link. The man was described as being of average height and build. At the time he was covered head to toe in clothing; including a blue hooded jumper, pants, black gloves and had a NRL ‘Bulldogs’ scarf wrapped around his face. Detectives from Burwood Local Area Command are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. In particular, police would like to speak with the male bystander who assisted the woman. He was riding a pushbike at the time.
