The is a current telephone scam hitting the local Myall Coast area.

People are contacted by phone where the callers identifies as being from the Australian Taxation Office and that money is owed for previous tax years.

The caller threatens that if monies are not paid immediately then local police will attend and arrest the home owner.

If you have received one of these calls please contact the local Police Station and report it.

If you receive one of these phone calls into the future please ignore it and under no circumstances pay any many as demanded.
