Paul is a product and proud advocate of public education, and feels privileged to have the unique opportunity as Principal of Irrawang High to work in partnership with the students, families and community to make a positive difference.

Paul presented the students with their awards, and also acknowledge Lue Fagan, a member of staff at Irrawang Public School, for all she does for the PBL program in schools.

This week’s award winners were;

Scarlett Butler-McEvoy from Irrawang Public School, for helping a little boy who was upset and stuck on the play equipment at Bunnings.

Scarlett helped get him out and reassured him that he was going to be alright.

Ashby Lindsay from Grahamstown Public School for always being helpful and encouraging to other competitors during all representative sports.

Paris Bennett from Hunter River High, awarded for volunteering her time in the school holidays to organise and manage teams for Nations Of Origin.

She demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and sportsmanship.

Scarlett Potter from Medowie Public School, for cutting her hair and donating it to charity, raising over $1,100 in donations.

Levi Hurstfield from Karuah Public School, for his outstanding behaviour when attending the four day Canberra Excursion.

He impressed the teachers and helpers, because of the way he displayed the Karuah Public School values of respect, responsibility and pride, during this amazing experience.

Jaykeb Evans from Raymond Terrace Public School, for representing Raymond Terrace Public School with distinction at Stewart House Sydney, by showing respect and cooperating at all times.

Nickolas Patten Irrawang High School, for his assistance at a Salt Ash Church, helping residents unable to reach their homes because of the recent fires at Salt Ash and Tanilba Bay.

Nickolas is to be congratulated on his community spirit.

Zali Plumridge from Salt Ash Public School, for always demonstrating beautiful manners at school, and in the community.

William Letham from Seaham Public School, for being an outstanding Seaham School citizen.

William supported our parents during morning play by packing away their skipping ropes, and has been spotted cleaning up the school playground without being asked to.

Well done Port Stephens students.
