Path Finders for 9-15 year olds is held at Nelson Bay Baptist Church on Friday Evenings. Jacqueline Cannon of the Port Stephens Baptist Church told News Of The Area, “The purpose of the group is to give local kids aged 9 – 15 a safe place to come where they can learn about making positive life choices while also enjoying fun games, music, bible truths and sharing a meal together.” Path FInders hold regular events, outings and activities both in the Church and at local attractions. “Some recent activities include a night at the Water Park, bowling, beach fun and; one of the kids and adults favourite; a Nerf Tag Night,” she said. The next Nerf Tag night, the next will be held on 5th April, aims at strengthening family relationships by inviting Parents and/or Carers along to join in the fun as they engage in a Nerf War with their kids. A shared meal will follow at a minimal cost of $3 per person. All Path Finders evenings run from 6-8pm at Nelson Bay Baptist Church – 19 Government Rd, Nelson Bay. All activities are run by volunteers from the Church who are approved to work with children and are committed to engaging with Youth in these vital years prior to and starting High school.
