EVERY fortnight the residents of Palm Lake Resort Raffle Group organize raffles for the attendees at their Friday night Happy Hour in The Promenade and last Friday evening a cheque for $1000 was presented to members of the Tea Gardens & Hawks Nest Boxing Club. Phil spoke of the positive effect the training was having on local youth and said, “This cheque would be used to provide a boxing ring for the club.” In addition to the presentation of the cheque, two attendees at the Happy Hour showed their generosity by donating two $50.00 amounts to show their support at the great job being done for youth in the area. The Palm Lake Resort Raffle Group purchase vouchers from twenty four local businesses from Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest which encourages residents to connect and support these businesses, building mutual goodwill.
