The successful applicants will liaise with the committee, strive for success and work alongside ex-NRL star and head coach Sam Burgess. “These positions represent a wonderful opportunity to work with passionate footballers at a strong community based club competing in Group 2 New South Wales Rugby League. “The applicants must have strong values, with high standards and expectations of high performance across all areas. “Qualities include leadership, communication, supportive, goal-orientated, respectful, planning, organisation and integrity.” Club President Peter Spinks said the club are getting their ducks lined up in preparation to rejoin the competition. “We are re-entering the Group 2 competition where the Axemen have a proud history, we are hoping to appoint new coaches for the Reserve Grade, Under 18s and Ladies Tag over the next month or so and planning to have our first get together in November. “At this stage we are getting all of our ducks lined up to prepare for the 2022 season,” said Peter. The Club’s President is a lifelong rugby league fan and has over a decade of association with the Axemen where family values are at the core of the club. “We hope to grow the camaraderie at our football club and with all of the other clubs in the competition. “Family is a big part of Rugby League and the inclusion of the under 18s and Ladies Tag will certainly help grow the family atmosphere at the club so we can all share the game we love,” said Peter.
