At present there is a lot of negativity surrounding the market, but whether you choose to sell now or wait, depends solely on your personal situation. Although some areas have slowed, there are certainly still areas which are holding their own and are still quite buoyant. No matter what the current real estate market, people always need to buy and sell for all sorts of reasons. There are plenty of circumstances why the market continues on; first home buyers, marriage, divorce, job transfers, growing families. These situations don’t usually wait for a better market. I suggest that if you do need to move on, then you should research the current market prices, and list your property accordingly. Another thing to remember is that if you are buying and selling within the same market you will likely gain in buying where you may have lost whilst selling. My tip for a seller in any market is to ensure that the presentation and marketing of your property are both perfect, thus ensuring that you give yourself every chance of achieving a great result. Hope this helps. Denise
