OPINION: Pollies silent on boating fiasco

Peter says a toddler could cross the entrance at low tide.

DEAR News Of The Area,

REMEMBER when the LNP politicians lined up to bask in the spending of $15 million dollars to restore and improve the Coffs Harbour boat launching precinct?

Now that it’s finished and the problems have been exacerbated instead of being reduced, those same politicians have gone silent.

The chief cheerleader, being Andrew Fraser the NSW Nationals Chair, whose raucous criticism of Council’s civic centre is now mute about the boating fiasco that at low tide is shallow enough for a toddler to walk across.

The Nationals now wanting to be portrayed as town planning visionaries should remain just as silent.

Regards,
Peter LEWIS,
