THE issue of a Net Zero target misses the point of what it’s all about.

The international climate scientists have issued a code red warning that “Climate change is widespread, rapid, and intensifying, and some trends are now irreversible”.

But while the Liberals and Nationals argue about what to do about it and how much it will cost them, the cost of inaction is intensifying.

A 2030 target is desperately needed to stem the tide of what is happening now and to try to reduce the dreadful consequences for our children of global warming in the future.
