In response to Wayne Duesbury’s recent letter on climate change I would suggest that most argument on the topic and man’s contribution to it is largely governed by one’s political affiliation rather than science, but this letter is not about that.

He is correct in stating that there is evidence of changes through history and it is still happening. The real issue is how we are going to cope with the change.

Recent events with floods and fires are of concern to the point that insurers are charging higher and higher premiums in recognition that things are getting worse.

The issue is not if but how.
