“These groups are a very special part of the Gloucester community as not only do they raise funds for people and families who are affected by breast and prostate cancer, they support everyone in need of support/financial help,” Holly told NOTA.

“I was honoured to be able to raise an incredible $1,757.20 to be split between the two groups.

“It was a very successful night and I would like the patrons of Gloucester to know that their support means the world and I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful community.”

Holly said the night featured a fantastic array of music by local artists.

“We also played trivia and had some awesome prizes supplied by our local businesses for the raffle and lucky door prize.

“The atmosphere was fantastic and we had reports from the crowd that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

“I would like to give a shout out to Regional Australia Bank for supporting me through the organisation of this night.”

Holly hopes to see more open mic nights organised in Gloucester in the near future, providing an opportunity for local talent to “thrive and do what they love”.
