SUNDAY 2 October officially saw the launch of the new One Mile Boutique Markets at One Mile Beach.

The sun was out and the good vibes were abundant.

The markets kicked off with a Beach Yoga session hosted by Aimee Angelique from Medowie Yoga.

Aimee told News Of The Area, “The inclusion of the yoga session brings self care, stillness, movement plus a whole lot of fun in the sun to the newly created markets.”

Niki De Lapp the creator of the markets is a Anna Bay mother working in Salamander Bay and also the Creative Designer behind Zeraphina a fashion label featuring at the markets with an online store coming soon.

Passionate about creating an atmosphere for locals to enjoy on a Sunday, the One Mile Boutique Markets has been created with the intention to create a hub for local designers and service providers.

Niki told News Of The Area, “We are aiming to create a Sunday family friendly environment for people to come eat, shop, enjoy the beach, have a cold drink and avoid the traffic.”

Swell Beach Bar, owned by Mark Prince, welcomes the new market and all it will offer locals and tourists – which will be set up adjacent to his bar and restaurant at One Mile.

Niki said she would also love to see the local younger generation utilise this beautiful place we live in, without the need to travel all the time.

The markets include local designers, musicians, yoga, massage, holistic therapists and tarot, with psychic  readers in the future, not to mention delicious food available from the Swell Café.

These markets aim to create a relaxed environment on a Sunday,  and a creative network of conscious entrepreneurs and business owners from the Bay areas.

Markets will be held weekly throughout Summer until April 2017 from 9-4am each Sunday.
