“One person in unit one was found to be deceased and one person in unit three was evacuated by firefighters.

“Units one, two and three were severely damaged by fire,” Commander Speck said.

The tremendous winds overnight intensified the scene and the fire was well-advanced by the time emergency services reached the scene.

The deceased person found is yet to be identified.

NSW Police Detective Superintendent Wayne Humphrey addressed the situation at the scene.

“The condition of the remains of the deceased are such that visual identification will not be possible and so it will be some time before their identity is confirmed.

“The scene will take a long time to process,” Superintendent Humphrey said.

At this point in time there are no other reports of injuries.

The scene is currently under investigation by forensic services and police.
