Kempsey resident Chris Tunnicliffe, 41, said he found his traineeship with NVC Group really rewarding. “I became interested in working in aged care after moving here from Sydney six or seven years ago,” he said. “I went to an open day at NV College and I approached staff there about whether or not I could work in Kempsey while I was studying. “They were so encouraging and flexible and I was offered a carer’s traineeship and work at Cedar Place nursing home. “My work satisfaction has really improved and I gained a lot of skills through studying at the college.” How to get involved: Step 1: Email an expression of interest and/or resume to admin@nvcl.org.au by 5pm, Friday 9 September 2022.
