NSW United Hospitals Auxiliaries hold Hunter forum in Anna Bay

THE NSW United Hospital Auxiliaries’ (UHA) Hunter Region Forum was held at the Nelson Bay Golf Club on Friday 8 April 2022.

The Forum is held annually throughout Hospital Auxiliaries in NSW and is used for the interchange of ideas within branches relevant to fundraising aimed at providing materials and equipment for the comfort of hospital patients and be of assistance to staff.

Tomaree Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary President Pauline Parrish told News Of The Area, “There is also a focus on promoting friendly interchange, catching up with fellow and new members as well as Hospital Auxiliary business sessions.”

Attending the forum was Hunter Regional UHA representative Susan Ferguson, and Auxiliary members from Belmont Pink Ladies, Calvary Mater Newcastle, John Hunter Kids Club, John Hunter Site Carers, Singleton Hospital and Tomaree Community Hospital.

Tomaree Community Hospital UHA Branch President Pauline Parrish opened the forum and welcomed all those present.

The morning session commenced with a Welcome to Country, followed by the President’s welcome and introduction of UHA officials, guest speakers and business reports from all area auxiliaries.

The reports demonstrate the significant amount of support in equipment and materials that have been supplied to the hospitals around the Hunter Region.

Also recognised was the efforts of the members of UHA and generosity of the communities we live in.

Like all hospital auxiliaries, the Tomaree Community Hospital is constantly fundraising to improve the diversity of equipment available on the site, allowing the caring teams at the hospital to deliver the best possible care.

Tomaree Community Hospitals Auxiliary are always looking for new members.
