North Arm Cove community is only a small one but the people in it have big and generous hearts.
During the year they celebrate International Women’s Day, The Biggest Morning Tea along with other fundraisers
they have raised substantial funds over the years for many worthwhile causes.
The history of Christmas in July in the Cove is a long one and there has been so much given by so many over the years to ensure its success.
“It is wonderful to see so many enjoy themselves,” said team leader, Maureen Kelly OAM.
“I am so grateful to all those who have helped over the years.”
“We have been hosting this event for twenty two years now and it is always a fun night.”
The Hall rang with the sounds of Christmas and everyone enjoyed good food, great company and music to dance the night away.
Partygoer Lorraine said,” I am having a great time, Enjoying the night, even if I am washing up.”
The Community Hall is a multipurpose centre managed by volunteers. It is available for hire with excellent kitchen facilities.
The Hall Committee works hard to involve the community in its activities.
