“HANG it up, sit down and shut the door” is the theme for the annual North Arm Cove Biggest Morning Tea with the “hang it up” relating to coat hangers, the “sit down” to cushions and the “shut the door” to doorstops.

There will be prizes for the best handmade cushions, coat hangers and doorstops made from any materials and all local crafters are welcome to enter.

We’d love to get the men involved this year in creating practical or novelty doorstops.

This would make a great project for your Men’s Shed.

Many of the items will be up for sale or auction after the judging, so this is a great chance to buy some unique home decorator items.

Last year the sale of bears and dolls from the Teddy Bears Picnic, combined with raffles and auctions, helped to raise just over $2,000 for the Cancer Council.

The Biggest Morning Tea will be held Saturday 20 May from 10.00am at the North Arm Cove Community Hall.

Entry fee of $5 includes a plate of sandwiches and cakes, plus tea and coffee.

here will be plenty of raffles and auctions with some great prizes to be won.

All proceeds will go to the Cancer Council for vital research.
