The members elected in to these important roles within this valuable community group are: President Tony Maskell, Vice President Neville Smirden, Treasurer Cynthia Rogers, and Secretary Elizabeth Carloss.

Frances Wathen, a Probus Ambassador for Port Stephens, told News Of The Area, “Tilligerry Probus Club was founded in 1985 and today remains a friendly welcoming club for men and women, focussed on fellowship, friendship and most of all fun.”

“There are groups for walking, live theatre, mini golf, indoor bowls, lunches at beautiful Port Stephens venues, BBQs, and Lifeball to name just a few ways to fill your leisure time with places to go and friends to meet.”

“Probus is a social club found throughout Australia and New Zealand for retirees, offering regular activities and outings and new interests for body and mind.”

“The Club has a member benefits scheme providing discounts on travel and a variety of services together with the exclusive Probus Travel insurance plans,” she said.

Probus is a well known, world wide organisation aimed at retired or semi-retired people.

Their aim is ensure people make the most of their retirement by enjoying the fellowship of like minded people, exploring the opportunity to develop new interests and stay active in mind and body.

The incoming executive for Tilligerry Probus Club are supported by an enthusiastic committee and officers who provide many outings and activities for their members.
