New Community Library to be Hosted by Karuah Land Council Medowie, Ferodale, Campvale by NOTA - October 26, 2016 Literacy skills are widely considered to be important for children to gain in their formative years, and a new initiative in the Karuah community, which is also spreading into Medowie, aims to nurture the development and love of reading. Jim Batt, Medowie resident, is behind the initiative to establish a community library at the site of the Karuah Land Council. The books and other resources will be available for all residents to use, and it is hoped that the new community library will be used regularly by community members.
