The Club’s long standing sponsor Port Stephens Toyota will offer a brand new Toyota Yaris as a Hole in One Prize on the 11th hole and new Sponsor Holiday World Salamander Bay have offered a $10,000 Travel Voucher for a Hole in One on the 8th Hole. All funds received through this event will be donated to meet local Community needs. Over the past 26 years, these needs have included: Health Support Services, Community Infrastructure Projects, The Nelson Bay Rotary Exercise Trail, PCYC Stadium Floor, Water Sport and Support Services. The Club has also contributed in excess of $11,000 to the Farmers Drought relief campaign and considering further boosting this from some of the proceeds from this year’s event. Nelson Bay Rotary President Kathy Rimmer highlighted the importance of strong sponsor support and a full field of players to make the day a success. “The Club have received hole sponsorship from a wide variety of local businesses to date,” she said. “An Auction will be held after the golf has finished. Donations back to the local community from this event are approaching $500,000,” Ms Rimmer told News Of The Area.
