Head Coach Adam Edwards said, “Our ladies played outstandingly on the weekend and exceeded all expectations.” They played the Newcastle rep team first and went down by a respectable margin. Next up they faced Hornsby and had a win 17-12. Their final pool match was against a slick Warringah side and even though the score line seemed lopsided, the ladies held their own. They played Hornsby once again later in the afternoon and had another win 10-0. In their final game for the day they played Manly and had a 10-10 draw. Adam told News Of The Area, “Although every single player that took the field played outstandingly, there were some standout players who are worthy of a mention and the points scorers for the day were: Pippa Smyth, Kate Holland, Amy Zander and Katy Gray. If you are interested in joining the women’s team for next season, registrations will be taking place from November 2017.
