Nelson Bay Croquet Club Sport Sport Results by News Of The Area - Modern Media - February 22, 2022 Peter Gordon runs a drill one. NELSON Bay Croquet Club has continued social play throughout the summer months, but many members are away or avoid the hot weather and playing numbers only start to increase again in February each year. To mark the return, Club Captain Rae Uptin organised a coaching session for members with a Golf Croquet handicap of 14 and above on Sunday 13 February 2022. 18 members turned-up on a sunny Sunday afternoon to take part in the coaching session. Regular coach Trevor Black was in attendance, but his participation was restricted due to a broken bone in his foot – Peter Gordon ably stood-in to run drills aimed at improving croquet skills and playing tactics. All the participants enjoyed the afternoon and felt that their game would benefit as a result. The Club is running a Come-and-Try Day on Sunday 20th March 2022, starting at 12:30pm, for anyone interested in trying their hand at croquet.
