There are World Ocean Week activities at Irukandji Shark and Ray Centre From 3 June. Local not-for-profit group OCCI (Ocean and Coastal Care) are also holding a film night at Nelson Bay Cinema. Of course there’s also all the fun of the Blue Water Country Music Festival over the June Long Weekend with bootscooting, entertainment and the Sacred Tree Markets at Nelson Bay. If you are after a free activity, check out the fish feeding, whale trail and free entertainment which operate daily throughout Naturefest at d’Albora Marinas at Nelson Bay. If you would like to get moving to chase away the winter chills, try a Park Run at Fingal Bay or Raymond Terrace on Saturdays.
