Ross Donnelly (10) was the winner of Division 1 (0 to 18) with 41 points from Jeffrey Porter (17) with 40 points, from Cos Osland (16) 37 and Richard Harrison (15) 36. In Division 2 (19 to 45), John Ward (229) scored 39 points to win from Eric Wise (33) and Barry Ellis (21) with 38 points and Terry Noble (22) with 36 points. The Ball Rundown to 32 points. NTP’s went to Col Osland on 5 and 18, Houston (Ray) Baker on 8 and Mary Ann Perry on 13. On Wednesday Morann Paterson and Gillian Anderson sponsored the Women’s ‘Friendship Day’ American Foursomes. In a very close contest, the winners were Sue Brooks and Coral McCann 70.12, from Donna Easey and Sue Seymour 70.25, and Chris Clarke & Cheryl Gilmour 71.0. The Ball rundown to 80.75. In Division 1 (0 to 18), Philip Mander (13) was the winner with 40 points from Greg Smith (12) 39 points. Division 2 (19 to 45), was won by Peter Drysdale (19) with the top score of the day 42 points from Bryan Ussher (24) 41 points. Good scores also from Chris Tinson and Scott Burley 40, Paul Reid, David Bartos & Rod Kinnear 39 points. The Ball Rundown to 33 points. The Men’s 4BBB Knockout Championship final match was also played – congratulations to winners Robert Coneybeare and Mark Ingram defeating Les Mohr & Paul Maxwell 2 and 1. Saturday was another busy day with a Medley Stableford, President Vs Captain Day, and the final playoff of our new Skins Knockout event. Thankfully, some early drizzle cleared away for a sunny day. In Division 1 (0 to 18) of the Stableford event, winner was Graeme Ball (17) with 39 points from Joe Street (14) with 37 points. In Division 2 (19 to 45) Andrew Donovan (20) scored 40 points to win from Mark Stuckey (24) with 37 points. Other good scores from Geoff McMurray, Trevor Peter, Glen Crow & Ben Honeybrook 37 points. The Ball run down to 35 points on countback. NTP’s went to Stephen Kimber for the Longest Putt on 2, Bruce Berry on 5, Edward Penrose to 6m on 7, Glen Crow on 8, Mark McLaren got the Pizza voucher on 13, Neil Duffus got Stu’s ball on 15, and David Mattacott collected the Pro Pin Jackpot on 18. For the 3rd time running, the Captain’s Team defeated the President’s 366 to 358, and those still around at presentation enjoyed the customary hospitality provided by the losing team leader. Better luck next year President Geoff! The new Skins Knockout final proved to be quite a close affair and will be re-scheduled to allow for spectator participation next year. Sunday’s event was a Mixed 4BBB Stableford ‘Island Sunday’ sponsored by Gwen and Paul Maxwell. The result went to a countback, with Gwen & Paul winning from Bryony and Chris Brownlie with 46 points. Other good scores from Thea and Stephen Kimber and Kay and Kel McGoldrick 44, Coral and Geoff McCann 43 points.
